Frosts Completes Complex Server Decommissioning and Recommissioning Project

Recently, facilitated a server move, which involved a step-by-step process of decommissioning the servers, carefully transporting all units from the first floor of the building to the ground floor, and then re-commissioning the server to ensure it was ready for use as quickly as possible.
Darren remarks "Projects of this nature can be time-critical. Moving servers involves major outages and can be complex. Ensuring backups are completed in case of any disaster and safe transportation of all server units and racks is critical.
Re-commissioning requires rigorous testing to confirm proper functionality."

Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Successful CCTV Installation at Food Production Site
Our team recently completed the installation of 30 new CCTV surveillance cameras at a client food production site. This project aimed to enhance their external security while ensuring on-site health and safety procedures are closely monitored, contributing to a safer working environment for employees and visitors alike.
Our delivery team worked diligently to meet all requirements, completing the project to the client's satisfaction.

Complex Server Build and Mitigation
We also project manage various hardware and infrastructure projects, having recently delivered a complex project to replace a client's outdated hardware and IT server infrastructure. This project involved purchasing and building two physical servers, creating Hyper Hosts and new virtual servers, and configuring these new servers.
This migration from the older physical and virtual servers enabled:

Additional storage to allow the business the expand and deploy additional applications

Remove the out-of-date Windows servers with new versions, ensuring updates to security continue for the servers

Remove the aging hardware which started to cost more due to the age

Our customer to adopt modern data infrastructure and security
This migration required:

Working with the end users (synchronising data / moving it to a new server), with minimum risk and downtime

Moving to a new domain controller

Creating new application servers and working with the application supplier to setup the new version of the ERP application

New Citrix environment to allow applications to work remotely
-
Migration to a new backup server, local and offsite storage
-
Accounting for other hardware and services running on the site to ensure they continued to work
The above project was successfully completed promptly and with minimal disruption to our customers.
Complete hardware and software refresh, application migration to help client comply with Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation
We have project managed a complete desktop, hardware and software refresh for customer and included the migration of the local applications from the old computers to the new.
The team were tasked with the procurement and standard build of a full all-in–one windows suite containing 40 PC's.
This implementation was carried out during regular business operations, requiring careful planning to minimise disruption and downtime during the removal of old hardware and systems, as well as the implementation of upgraded hardware, systems, and software.
This upgrade futureproofed the business by providing the latest hardware and operating system, ensuring seamless security and continued access to critical updates.
The refresh was essential for the customer to meet compliance with the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. This was implemented in a timely phased roll-out.
