Data integrity and security is key for any organisation.
We recently worked with a client to improve their policies over the use USB drives in operating environments such as Windows. This helped to better protect their corporate data, ensure compliance and data security.
The review provided better control over USB device usage, ensuring that USB drives are only used when absolutely necessary.
It's important to remember that USB sticks can be easily lost, may carry viruses and be used as a vehicle for data theft.
What is a USB Policy?
Also known as a removable media policy, a USB Policy is a security policy that controls the use of portable storage devices like USB flash drives.
Is it time to review your USB Policy?
When you next review or update your IT policies, consider reviewing your current USB policy. Does it support your existing IT policy or is it time for an update?
