Boosting Connectivity: How Frost Consultants Transformed Home-Based Connectivity for a rural food-producer

A rural food-producing business faced the challenge of future-proofing its telecommunication infrastructure, enhancing connectivity and Wi-Fi for a working office environment, while simultaneously achieving cost savings.  

To address these needs, we upgraded the client to a new VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone system and installed wireless access points (APs). This solution provided stronger Wi-Fi signals throughout the building and delivered significant cost reductions, fully meeting the client’s requirements.  

Joe Keenan, IT Consultant at Frost Consultants, explains: “This project involved transferring existing phone numbers to our Hosted Voice System and installing new phones. Additionally, we ran two Cat6 cables from the router to the required room. This allowed both the phone and the wireless access point to connect to the network, ensuring seamless functionality for both devices. 

Joe adds: “The TP-Link system enables us to manage all Wi-Fi devices from a single location, perform security updates, and maintain the devices efficiently.”
